Watch me (found courtesy of Offbeat Mama):
http://www.neatorama.com/2010/05/29/what-it-feels-like/ This diaper commercial about sibling feelings is actually about poly simultaneously. ::blinkblink:: Weigh in here... I'm really curious what others think of this. ~S

I love it! I'm having the talk this weekend, but much more easing into it and talking about feelings, the other guy being hours away and not flaunted, lol... although if my hubby stayed that calm I'd probably go into shock - I'm expecting broken stuff to clean up later... the video helps me see how it must look like to him...

LMAO that was hilarious!
It's a good point, too. I think that's how a lot of parents drop the "baby bomb" on the other children. And when you see it in a poly context, it's so obviously the wrong way to do it that it makes it actually funny (although it wouldn't be that funny if it was really happening to you, of course).

I can comment from both sides of the age spectrum I think.
First as adult (poly), although I didn't "spring" it on Cajun that suddenly and he was a lot more accepting of the possibility of Elric and I becoming very serious than the guy in the video. Second as Mommy (child). We have been talking to and including our Treasure in a lot of the new baby stuff. She is just fine with it all now and has even picked out some clothes for him (was soo cute) but we are very worried when he actually arrives and does start to take up more of our time and energy...not that I have very much of the latter lately. I loved the video and it definitely put an interesting spin on both sides for me. Can't wait to show this to Cajun!
