I just saw this film last night it was the best film i have seen in ages. it was amazing. every aspect of it.

Yep - best one I've seen in awhile too !
It was especially poignant to me because although (as others have mentioned) is was an 'old story re crafted" it is a story that connects to the deepest parts of my life and passions. Had a damn hard time even holding it together at times. Embarrassing ! Glad it was dark.
Every young person should see it with a proper mentor........

I did love the movie. Great sci-fi fantasy with a very moving (if recycled) story too.

From a music standpoint I found it interesting as I was hearing the music and recognizing a melody that was very reminiscent of the soundtrack to Glory...only to realize at the end of the movie that the composer was James Horner, who also wrote the soundtrack to Glory.
