Default How to tell the other person?

My husband and I have decided to have an open marriage. I am very interested in a guy, but I don't know the right way to tell him. He knows my husband, and will not be expecting me to bring anything like this up. He flirts with me all the time, but I have no idea how to tell him I want more. Advice?

One approach is to talk about polyamory in a hypothetical tense first, gauge his reaction, and then bring up the fact that you actually have an open marriage yourself. From there, it's just like regular dating... Flirt back, ask him out for coffee, the usual.
As I am sure any cat owner will be able to tell you,
someone else putting you in a box is entirely different
from getting into a box yourself.

What I did was to bring up the fact that the open marriage was there casually, then let it sit for awhile.

If he's interested in you the thought of being able to be with you will circulate in his head.

Then after a few days or the next time you see him, ask him out, though you maybe surprised, he may ask you.
