Hello. I'm terrible at intro threads, but figured it was proper etiquette to introduce myself. I'm a 26 year old female in a monogamous relationship. The concept of Poly isn't new to me, but over the past few years some major events in my life have made me rethink the concept of love, and I could really use some advice. I'm fairly new to lurking these forums, but I have enjoyed what I've read so far, and I am learning lots!
More to come in my second post... - J |

Welcome aboard.

When speaking of various forms of non-monogamy...it ain't poly if you're just fucking around. While polyamory, open relationships, and swinging are all distinctly different approaches to non-monogamy, they are not mutually exlusive. Folks can, and some do, engage in more than one of them at a time--and it's all good. |

Find or create a thread on "The Concept of Love," and I'm sure it will be fruitful. Is love a concept? Surely there are concepts of love, but is love itself a concept? Curious minds want to know. |

Perhaps MY concept would have been better wording? I'm pretty tired tonight, I was up early.
