"Your dance card is full"

I've recently changed my profile on a dating site that I'm on. I've found that I've been attracting a much more compatible group by saying what I do want rather than what I don't want. I think when things are phrased negatively that a lot of people who might be a match get scared off so you end up getting messages from people who don't actually read your profile.

As for the message you got from this guy I'd read it the same way as others, more as a question than as a statement. Why not just ask him if he was asking a question or if he was making an assumption. So much context can be lost over the written word.
