Poly friendly music?

Don't you hate it when you flip the car radio on and you're happily singing along to some upbeat song about being in love, and then it hits a line about "only you" or "you're the one"?

I'm guessing there's a scarcity of music with lines like "When you give me time to love him too, my love for you grows," but does anyone have favorite love songs that a a poly gal in love can sing wholeheartedly? I don't think Pandora can make a poly love song station...

I kissed a girl? (and I think I liked it...I hope my boyfriend don't mind it)
(katy perry)
Those lyrics are good, but the song overall, not so much. I remember being totally flopswoggled the first time I heard it.

Poly Songs

My favorite poly song is "My Boyfriend's Girlfriend Isn't Me" by Must Be Tuesday - always turn it up loud when it comes around on my MP3 mix that MrS made for me = not really a love song though. (In my mind it's the polyamory "Theme Song" :D)

(ETA - NOT the same song as "My Girlfriend's Boyfriend Isn't Me" by Autograph, which may be a fine song for those who enjoy music that I can't understand the words to...)

I also like Jane's Addiction "Three Days" - more of a sex song than a love song though...

Now you've got me started...exploring poly music - I see my afternoon wasting away...

The Roches - "You're the Two"

You're the two that I want
You're the two that I want
Some girls'll settle for just one
They don't know what they're missin' they ain't havin' any fun
You're the two that I want

Jane told Betty she saw me last night
She had her socks shocked off but she was tryin' to be polite
We were arm in arm in arm and that just didn't seem right
I was walkin' with my babies in my high heel shoes
Havin' so much fun I nearly lost my blues
You're the two that I want

He's a big strong boy he can bust out of chains
Says what he means he don't play no games
But you what you're missin' in muscle you make up for in brains
Between you two I got my two hands full
I got one to push and another one to pull
Two that I want

I can't believe this is happenin' to me
I'm just about as happy as a girl can be
With all this lovin' I feel wild and free
Maybe I should press my luck and try for three :D

Yeah, I love the lyrics of this song by Olivia Newton John. Wonder why it was never popular ;):

Oh, I know it's unconventional,
It's radical but practical.
I don't want to lose you.
No, but I'm not gonna give him up! No!
It's a culture shock
But it's the only hope we've got!
Tell me, why can't the three of us live together?

By the way, we already have a thread where poly songs, stories, etc. are listed.

My favorite poly song is "My Boyfriend's Girlfriend Isn't Me" by Must Be Tuesday -

I just looked up these lyrics -how great! I sent them to a friend of mine who just told me today about this chain of 8 people he is linked into (six of them having 2 partners apiece, with the end two having just one partner). Perfect!

Snake River Conspiracy - You and Your Friend

"Must we go run through our lives with our eyes closed
To the loving happiness that we can share
I think I'm in love with you and your friend
Honest I do, I can't see you and me and her without each other
And I hope you feel the same way too (you and me and her)"

Can't believe nobody has quoted Leonard Cohen yet.

Not a "poly" song except maybe in implication, but definitely a sweet tune about an even more taboo form of sex, the adult-youth variety...

"People Do it All the Time"

Fragile, rare occasion
Out of chaos, a creation
Binding into one form
Lucid drunkenness
Aiming, truth and openness

Baby, you are a joy
I want you free when you grow, boy
Revive the old idea
That we carry.

Binding into one form
Lucid drunkenness
Nothing less
than truth and openness
Nothing less
but truth and openness

Baby, you are a joy
I want you free when you grow, boy
Revive the old idea
That we carry.

My girlfriend's girlfriend by Type O Negative

I may or may not be guilty of singing Type O at the top of my lungs on the way home from work from time to time. ( =
