Newbie ethical issue

Referring to a much earlier post in this thread, I wanted to say that I find it very odd when people call having casual sex with a stranger (or even an aquaintance), especially a one time deal, a "date". I think if the term "date" as something one does where there is romantic interest, not just sexual interest (Though I've always thus far gotten to know my loves in a very casual sort of way, not formal dating, per se, but more like "hanging out".)

I'm saying this because I recently had a friend say "date" in a one time sex context, and I found it very odd. .... The kids these days!
