Default New to Polyamory

Hi people of the internet

Have recently joined, already made a topic on here about an issue. After a quick flick through some of these topics I thought how nice/interesting this forum is, its nice to openly talk about these things as I don't know anyone who is Poly, seems like everyone greatly dislikes open relationships.

I'm Louise, age 32 hubby is 43, married for 9 years and together for 14 - yes dating him since I was 18 he was 29 which my parents wasn't too happy about but they got used to it. He had just split up with his ex girlfriend at the time who he had 2 son's with. We have 2 children boys age 4 and 7. Still happy and very much in love, all things considering.

We're in a bit of a "V" I think you call it? with another woman, Emily she's 25 I met her at work a couple of years ago we became really good friends we talk about anything and everything. I introduced her to my husband over a year ago I sensed they were immediately attracted to each other so I allowed them to have a relationship under certain conditions, which have kind of changed now as she's 5 months pregnant, a girl, they love each other and she's my best friend, so she's moving in with us soon.

I'm straight and she's bi, I'm not attracted to women sexually but I do find her very attractive, so I've yet to treat hubby to a full on threesome. She has always been up for it I've just not had the confidence I think to do it.

You say you live in Birmingham, UK. I just did a search on OkCupid about non-monogamous people in Birmingham and got over 40 matches. You are not alone, even in your own city. It is the question of how to find them - obviously making a profile on OkC might help Or, maybe there are some meet-ups in your area or something?
