funny you should ask... I'm looking too..

Saturday I had lunch with some slash writers... found out that slash isn't what I thought it was at all.(it sounds like violent porn to me.. but is actually... well see the def at the end of this post.) That got me thinking about poly stories/ poly porn.

But I'd want educational/respectful/meaningful poly porn.. not the cheater porn or the cuckold porn. To make E/R/M porn... I'd need lots of conversations...You know, that communication, y'all talk about. Maybe I should look through the slash stuff first..

BTW: here's the link to the wikipedia description of slash..http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slash_fiction

Here's the definition:
Slash fiction is a genre of fan fiction that focuses on the depiction of romantic or sexual relationships between fictional characters of the same sex.[1][2] While the term was originally restricted to stories in which male media characters were involved in an explicit adult relationship as a primary plot element, it is now often used to refer to any fan story containing a pairing between same-sex characters, although many fans distinguish the female-focused variety as a separate genre commonly referred to as femslash. The characters are usually not engaged in such relationships in their respective fictional universes.[3]

hi claire,

yes, i think slash is misleading. many years back when i stumbled across the term femslash, i associated it with some gruesome fiction its actually nothing more than f/f fiction based on tv/movie/ or even book characters.

i am searching high and low for such poly romance stories, erotica, but, like you, not interested in the banal threesome erotica of ellora's cave, or phaze or whatever

I haven't personally read anything other than "Stranger in a Strange Land" for poly fiction, which was good but not "sexy" really.

I found the following links though:

http://www.sirenpublishing.com/polyamour/

http://www.polychromatic.com/fiction2.html

Hope that helps! I'm just heading to work now but I will check for more later if you like. (gotta live up to my username! :P)

I realize that I have read a series that would be considered "poly". Laurell K. Hamilton writes supernatural romance stuff and has an ongoing relationship with many, many men throughout the series. At one point she is living in a triad while seriously dating one other man, it gets rather complicated
The series starts off with a pretty good plot, if you dig the whole vampire/supernatural thing, but I found that the plot became very, very thin later in the series and was pretty much porn with loose character development thrown in. Definitely poly though!
