Default Hi from San Diego

Hey there!

My girlfriend and I just started dating someone together recently. We're very excited and a little nervous at the same time. So I started seeking out advice, ideas, and experience from others and found this forum. We're very happy so far and are hoping to open our relationship further over time with our new friend. Since this is would be our first time actually forming a triad relationship (instead of just having a threesome, etc) we're happily fumbling along with it. Not sure where it's going to go from here and have a lot of hopes of possibilities as well as fears of loss. Couldn't be happier with all of that!

I've always been in love with multiple partners and for the longest time just thought I was a partial jerk or A-hole for it (or maybe unsure of myself). Never really had a problem with monogamy either. So it was good to know that there are others that feel the way I do about sharing people I love in a committed sense.

Glad to be here.

Now, can someone tell me why there isn't a table for three at nice restaurants?!

As with many things poly, what applies to two, applies to three. So restaurants have tables for two, just add another chair. Everything else is mostly the same.

Welcome to the Forum.

Welcome aboard.

When speaking of various forms of non-monogamy...it ain't poly if you're just fucking around.

While polyamory, open relationships, and swinging are all distinctly different approaches to non-monogamy, they are not mutually exlusive. Folks can, and some do, engage in more than one of them at a time--and it's all good.
