I was thinking of the phrase, "You made your bed, now lie in it." So I thought someone could say "Make your own bed!" to mean, "take responsibility!" or "deal with it!" That kind of thing.

I literally wrestled with figuring it out for a few minutes before posting, and the actual meaning did not dawn on me until I was writing that post!

I usually text in whole words and very rarely use acronyms, so it's a learning curve for me. Is MYOB a common used one? I don't even know!

Glad I got folks laughing.

Very. Even used for accounting software.

Wink

Actually MYOB was used way before texting. It was slang we used in high school. And I graduated in 92.

I am a science major. We abbreviate everything. Especially in my field veterinary medicine.

My only internet access is via my smart phone. And it can be a bitch to edit long paragraphs of text.

My high school class graduated in 1978 (I dropped out in '77), and acronyms weren't that much of a thing back then. I remember in the 80s saying "I'm TCB!" (taking care of business) or BYOB (bring your own booze), but most of this shit is a learning curve for me. I see MYOB and still think "make your own bed" - LOL.
