it sounds to me like they are very new to this and there are a few alarm bells,
the proving that there will be no jelousy for one,

but i wouldn't say run away, just be cautious and ask lots of questions and maybe even direct them to this forum!

At the very least I would ask them if they would be ok with you developing a love relationship with one and not the other. It's hard to control who you love and the chances of falling in love with a couple equally isn't terribly likely to happen. (Not impossible though, it can happen and has happened but it's something that can't be forced).

Date them, learn about them see if you click, but take it slow.

I agree with both ladyjools and Derby. I see that there could be alarm bells, but it's up to you to take care of yourself and keep your emotions in check. Be guarded yet open to possibility. Take note of how they answer questions and be very honest and open. What better way to practice honest open communication than with folks that say they are poly?! If there is some reaction to that and they respond in such way that makes you suspicious, overly confident and unwilling to learn and grow with you then yes, run.

Perhaps they would benefit from reading your post? and others here.
