. . .which reminds me of one of the best bits in the original book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz that was left out of all the various movie adaptations: if I'm remembering it right, the Emerald City isn't really green, but everyone in the city is required by law to wear green-colored spectacles. It was some sort of allegory about paper currency, or something like that. Anyway, I guess I could conclude that, like the residents of the Emerald City, I was seeing green that wasn't really there.
