- Straight (pretty sure) - Dating poly female but tend to forget she's poly. Reluctant friends with her boyfriend who could easily destroy me with two fingers. I do it out of love, I suppose. I really don't see why society's wired towards monogamy. I tend to trace the origins back to organized religion, but I don't want to make any half-assed assumptions.

I think as far as anthropologists can figure, it actually goes back to the Agrarian society where ownership and property because important concepts and thus one had to know one's kids were one's own if one is going to pass one's property along to them.
