Hello from NYC!
Hi all,
I've been on and off involved in Poly relationships for 20 years or so. More off than on, but that's another long story! I live with and mostly spend time with poly and/or poly friendly folks, and over the years I've found that I'm more likely to find kindred spirits in poly and other progressive, adventurous communities. Coming out of a period of considerable isolation and celibacy, I'm considering dipping my toe back in the waters of sexual intimacy Right now, my only intimate relationship to speak of is with a lovely poly woman who is in a FMM triad. She lives in rural VA and I live in NYC and we haven't seen each other in a long time, so it's a very tangential relationship at best. Last edited by communeist; 12-17-2009 at 02:40 PM.

When speaking of various forms of non-monogamy...it ain't poly if you're just fucking around. While polyamory, open relationships, and swinging are all distinctly different approaches to non-monogamy, they are not mutually exlusive. Folks can, and some do, engage in more than one of them at a time--and it's all good.
