Actually, no, you aren't a unicorn. A unicorn has to be actively looking to get involved with a couple. You weren't actively seeking a couple, so you don't quite qualify.

Not that that's a bad thing. There's nothing better about being a unicorn and finding a couple than not being a unicorn and finding a couple you weren't searching for! If you found a good connection, it's all good!

While polyamory, open relationships, and swinging are all distinctly different approaches to non-monogamy, they are not mutually exlusive. Folks can, and some do, engage in more than one of them at a time--and it's all good.
