Ok, so last week L and her D went out on a date together. Their date consisted of a scavenger hunt which I designed for them. It had some fact finding parts, which they both found out more about each other. And it had some sexually charged parts, which got them both even hotter for each other than they were originally.
Anyway, at the end of the hunt, L got a nice little question. Because throughout the hunt, I put special words into some of the tasks, which were surrounded by quotation makes. These words put together, spelled out the question "Will you redo our vows on July 2nd 2011?"
Now, some of you may say "Why the word 'redo', and not 'renew'?". I chose that word for a reason. We got married Jan 16th 1991. The day the first gulf war started. When we got married, I distinctly remember the pastor using the words "forsaking all others" and other archaic type phrases. Well, obviously, we are not "forsaking all others". LOL In fact, we are LOOKING at others! and going out with others! and doing things with others! LOL We are BAD! But we're SOOOO good at being BAD! LOL
The real reason for this though, is so that we can write our OWN vows. Vows which are more reminiscent of who we are today and the relationship which we have today. Vows which will include something about us being poly, and having the ability to love others and be loved by others, in addition to our legal spouse.
L is TOTALLY into it and is now looking at dresses. We are planning on a nice beach ceremony. Being as it is fairly far off, we MAY make this into a commitment ceremony, but....that is dependent on L's D, and how all of our relationship works out over that time period. (We like to remain optimistic)
Anyway, I need help....I need ideas on how to write vows which will include something on being poly.
I love my wife. She is beautiful, and intelligent. She is the reason I am alive today. She scooped me up 20 years ago and saved me. Through the love in her heart, she has opened herself up to the idea each of us seeing other people, within our marriage, if we feel the mutual desire.
This is so difficult, and that all sux! Sooo.....I need more!
