This drives me absolutely batty. I feel like I'm in a constant game of 21 questions, it's exhausting. My husband and I have talked at length about this and his answer is usually that he's not quite sure what information I really need, that and he doesn't realize that he didn't say outload everything he was thinking. He is ADD and once he has mentioned something, his brain has already moved on to other things.

It may help if when he calls and doesn't give you specific details of plans, just tell him, "Hey, why don't you pick up take out on your way over and we can sit and talk." I'd bet at that time, he will either readily agree or it will get him thinking about what he really wants to do, because more than likely he probably doesn't think about it until 10 minutes before arriving.

After near 20 years, I'm still using hot pokers to get more information
