The thing is that love is a verb. Most people say "I understand" but if they take the time to sit and consider their own actual actions-they don't DO love as a verb.

If every person were to treat every other person with love (as a verb) then there wouldn't BE all of the trauma so many on here post about.

It means treating your SO and THEIR OTHER SO with loving behavior ALWAYS, no matter what. Set the example, no matter what.

I DO love Maca-I DO it every day in every way I can think of.

I DO love Maca even though he doesn't yet know how to love (as a verb)himself or anyone else. Because I know from experience that he WILL learn to-BECAUSE I am doing it to/for him.
