I would never suggest that you try not to feel something. It's best to feel your emotions and share those feelings and your thoughts with your partner. There may be a little bit of codependency in the idea that you need a certain amount of time and attention from your partner. I would suggest to seek out and find opportunities for activities that interest you.....make your life (without your partner) fuller. That could never be a bad thing.
