Sounds to me like you got it going on Mockingbird. Maybe try asking him for more input Tell him you'll be as submissive as he wants you to be, and have him tell you exactly what he wants you to do. Next night reverse it, kick his ass and make him your bitch, so to speak.  Make him do exactly what you want. If that doesn't open the doors to more Vavrooooom, it's on him for NOT having a better imagination.
