I've known for a number of years that traditional monogamy was not for me. It is only in the past year or so that I have come to identify myself as poly.
I recently (4 months or so) started dating a poly girl who is a treasure. Her view on relationships is so open/honest/mature that I refer to her as being "enlightened". It has been a wonderfully humbling and educational experience. I hope to fashion my future relationships with her wisdom in mind.
I have no interest in owning my partner in any way, I don't want to have claim over their time/love/affection/body/intellect. I hope to enjoy what they have to offer and leave it at that. I've got a long way to go
