It also cracks me up that giving someone a nickname on this board indicates that they have reached a certain level of involvement in my life.

I do the same thing! I just refer to someone by initials or description until there's enough reason to give him an alias here. And it's got to be just right. Took me weeks to come up with "Lively" and then it just fit for him.
And then, someone in my life having an alias has gotta mean something! Hahaha.
