Polycurious in south florida :)

Hey everyone reading this. :) My name is Samantha, but everyone I know personally calls me Beba. I turn 23 august 15th, I live with my mother, and I'm in beauty school to become a full specialist. I love to love, who doesn't? Lol I've always been the kind of person that even though I had a bf, I was still interested in other ppl. I didn't cheat though, because I'm very big on trust and don't like to break it. I've been celibate for 1yr and 8 months, because I feel like I've been waiting to find someone who wants what I do in life. Which is just to be happy, whether or not that's with more than 1 person. I'm also bicurious, I've always found myself attracted to men and women. I've only dated men though, I feel like I'm too shy to be vulnerable with a woman. Though I have had romantic feeling for 1 girl, I guess I just haven't found one to open me up enough. I'm open to any kind of relationship that's filled with love and trust. I'm so glad this site is here, thank you. :)

Welcome to the forum!

I always like to hear about folks that have decided that they have standards and stick to them, even if it means staying single or celibate. Why waste time on folks that aren't ever going to amount to anything in a relationship with you? It sometimes seems like there are so many folks that are so desperate for *something* that they will do *anything*, compromise any values, just in order not to be single.

More power to you!

Hi Beba,
Welcome to our forum.

An early happy birthday to you, and good for you for conscientiously deciding the right pathway in life for you, and following that path. I hope you will enjoy your time on our site, I certainly consider you a positive addition.

Sincerely,
Kevin T.

Exactly, which is why it's so hard to find someone to date. So many people just want to rush into something without taking the time to see if they even have the same goals in life, they just hate being alone. I'm ok with being single, because I love myself enough to know I shouldn't waste my time on someone who isn't worth it.

Thank you so much for the birthday wish and kind welcome, I'm excited to see where this goes. I hope I can find others in my area, because I don't know anyone personally who knows about this lifestyle or accepts it.

Don't know if you've tried our Dating & Friendships subforum; that might help? Other things you can try are like OKCupid, some people have good luck with that. Or you can Google "polyamory [+ your state or closest major city]" and see if there are any poly groups in your area.
