New Chicago couple

Hello fellow members! We are an interracial couple new to the forum. We are in the beginning stages of our relationship and mutually agreed upon being part of the polyamorous lifestyle. We feel that since we are in the early stages of our relationship that this would be the perfect time to seek out our future partner. We are currently seeking a female for something long-term. Any advice from the veteran members of this forum would be greatly appreciated. Cheers! :)

HI there and welcome. The best advice I can give is in two parts - first, try to get to know local poly folk - the best way to do that is to join a local poly group that has regular social get-togethers; second, don't approach every poly person as a potential date - get to know folks as friends in a more relaxed way - see what develops. Worst case, you end up with more friends. :)

Good luck on your path!

Hello Oreo C,
Welcome to our forum.

CielDuMatin is right, get to know people as friends first, worry about the dating aspect later. By the way, we have a Dating & Friendships subforum, you may find it to be somewhat helpful.

Glad to have you aboard.
Sincerely,
Kevin T.
