There's No Such Thing As Polyamory

Polyamory can be seen as just an example, or special case, of everyone's right to live your own life your own way. Reframing polyamory as just another avenue of self-actualization retains all its power, yet makes it culturally acceptable in terms even John Wayne could support.

A version of this presentation has been published by the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in their Electronic Journal of Human Sexuality (see www.ejhs.org/volume14/NoSuch.htm).

Open Love NY welcomes longtime poly activists Barry and Cathy Smiler from the Washington D.C./Baltimore area to lead a discussion on reframing polyamory as just another way people have the right to follow their own life path. For our introductory circle, we will also ask all members present to vote on a t-shirt/button/bumper sticker slogan for Open Love NY.

I know Barry and Cathy from various local events. If you're in the tri-state area, I encourage you to go to their discussion. Their talk should be very interesting!
