Fidelia

First: it's way past time my dear Hubby had a real name. In my OP, I assigned him the designation "Hubby" w/o any real thought to it, and He definitely deserves a better handle than that!
Drum roll, please . . .
So, without further ado, I hereby officially re-christen my sweet husband, the love of my life, my best friend and hunk-hunka-burnin' love . . .
wait for it . . .
wait for it . . .
FIDELIO!
(Why Fidelio, you ask? Because we're two peas in a pod, and he's one of the few people I've known in my life who are as fiercely loyal as I am.)
Now, for the news.
The backstory: Fidelio has been flat of his back for most of the last six weeks because he injured himself picking up a box that was too heavy. Hoping it just just a bad strain, he waited 2 weeks to call the doctor and 2 more for the appointment, and then 2 more when the primary care MD referred him to a surgeon thinking it was at least one hernia.
Yikes. Now we're looking at surgery, and recovery time. And Fidelio's already had this happen before, and it was 2 years before he was back up to speed.
We just got back from the surgeon. After much poking and prodding and turn-your-head-and cough-ing, turns out, it's a strain after all! The mother of all strains, the nuclear bomb of strains, a kick-your-ass-into-next-week strain, but just a strain! No hernia, no rupture of any kind. And we've already been giving the correct treatment (rest and warm compresses).
So HOORAY! Yippee! Wahoo! :D
Ok. That's all. Thanks for letting me share.
